Q: Do you ship to other countries?
A: Yes, we ship all over the world using Global Express Mail from the US Post Office. In fact, our main markets are Spain, Japan, Korea, Germany, Australia. We ship regularly to these countries.
Q: Are there any research data available with regards to the agaricus mushroom?
A: Yes, the best and most reliable source for information regarding the agaricus blazei mushroom is still the NCBI/NIH web site. This web site is maintained by the National Institute of Health which is funded by the US government. This is the ONLY reliable web site since it is a database of current and past research documents. I highly recommend using this web site. There are too many web sites that sell the products but do not provide any reliable scientific data. The web sites are pure marketing sites. The link to the NCBI/NIH web site is: http://ncbi.nih.gov/
Q: Do you really guarantee your products?
A: Yes, we are very proud of the agaricus that we grow. If you are not satisfied with our product, please return it within 30 days and we will offer you a full refund less shipping. More information is available on our guarantee page.
Q: How long does it take to receive my order?
A: Depending on where the order is shipped, the shipping time can vary a lot. For example, using express mail to Spain, your order is shipped within a few days. Once the order is shipped, it takes approximately 2 to 4 business days for the items to arrive in Spain at customs. Once at customs, it can take up to 7 to 12 days to clear. Shipments within the USA are processed via UPS Ground service. Transit times for UPS are approximately 2 to 5 business days depending on your zip code.
Q: How effective is this mushroom against cancer and other ailments?
A: As with any natural product, effects can vary. There are many published studies and research data that show that agaricus can be a good supplement to traditional therapy. Since we are growers and not medical doctors or herbalists, we cannot say that the product will work wonders. We feel that the best thing for a customer to do is to inform themselves with as much information as possible and to stay away from products or web sites that try to market the product as a cure all. Many people have said that these mushrooms have helped them a lot. Others had shown little results. The best thing to do is to do research. Your health is very important and you should try to take control and to empower yourself by studying as much as possible about these mushrooms. For general research data, visit the NCBI/NIH web site at http://ncbi.nih.gov/. For customers in Spanish language countries, there was a great article published in Discovery Salud magazine. The link to the magazine and the article is: http://www.dsalud.com/numero58_3.htm
Q: Are your agaricus mushrooms from Brazil?
A: We actually get this questions a lot. Apparently, there are a lot of customers who have been purchasing agaricus products and the companies have been buying them on the open global market from as far away places as China and Korea. Our mushrooms are 100% from Brazil from our farms and growers. We do not mix or use any mushrooms from the open market.
Q: Why are agaricus from Brazil so much more popular?
A: As with most natural products, there are many places that specialize in certain products. For example, Siberian ginseng, Korean ginseng, Tahitian Noni, Okinawa sea coral, etc... Every product has an origin and an ideal and highest quality growing environment. The agaricus blazei murill mushroom from Brazil has long been considered one of the best and still the most sought after. When you say agaricus blazei, most people will still refer to it as Brazilian agaricus.
We are trying to compile as much useful information as possible for our customers. We will be adding more questions and answers on this page and creating a larger archive section with more links. How we grow and process our agaricus:
Our ABM is grown under strict quality and hygienic controls. First, the correct compost must be prepared. Then we pasteurize and sterilize the compost to make sure that the compost is not contaminated with other fungi, insects and bacteria. Once the compost has been prepared correctly, we then inoculate the compost with ABM hyphae. Then the compost material with the fully developed ABM mycelia is placed on open land that has ample sunlight. A layer of sterilized and treated soil is used to cover the mushroom bed. Once in place, the ABM receives plenty of water to keep the soil and compost layers moist. Without sufficient moisture, ABM will not fruit. Once the ABM is ready to harvest, we harvest the ABM as quick as possible since ABM starts to spoil very rapidly. The ABM is rinsed and cut into halves and readied for drying. Drying is done through a slow drying process at temperatures of 40º Celsius to about 43º Celsius. It is very important to dry the ABM slowly so that the ABM does not cook or become shocked. Once dried, the ABM is carefully selected by hand and all ABM that does not meet our standards are separated. Routine samples are also taken and sent to laboratories for analysis.
